The Apron Gang was formed first as a small group for possible Bible Study with one common theme, that we loved to cook. After the first few items the Bible study portion was dropped, and the focus shifted to preparing a meal for those who could use a reminder of God's love for them as they struggled with physical, spiritual, or financial challenges. This also provides another means for our ministry to visit and connect with those who may not be able to attend worship as they previously had or who don't have a church and let them know we are here for them. The ministry serves all in our community where a request has been made for us to provide assistance. Our ministry is financed by donations received from the community. This committee meets the first Sunday of each month in the kitchen at St. John Lutheran Church.
